The Manchester International Roots Orchestra is a unique, new musically diverse orchestra which aims to nurture musical collaboration between refugee and other culturally diverse musicians, and Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) students.

The Orchestra involves musicians, singers and MCs of all styles and genres who are proficient and who want to collaborate with others. The orchestra aims to create exciting new music drawing on a range of music genres. We will be working towards two high-profile performances in Manchester during 2013.

Rehearsals continue to be held on Wednesday evenings at RNCM since 16 January 2013 when the programme started.

This project involves Michael Cretu as Music Director, and Serge Tebu as Assistant Music Director.

Come along and see this unique orchestra perform on Sat 22 June at RNCM. More dates to be confirmed shortly.
